ReactWise at Cambridge AI: From PhD Project to Pharma Pilots

April 9, 2025

We were thrilled to take part in the recent Cambridge AI Meet-Up, where our co-founder Daniel shared the story of ReactWise’s journey—from an early idea during a PhD to a fast-growing startup helping pharma companies supercharge their R&D with AI.

It’s been an exciting year for us. What started as a conversation between co-founders Daniel and Alexander about building a no-code optimization platform has grown into a company with a world-class team, 12 pilot programs with leading pharmaceutical companies, and $3.4 million raised to push the boundaries of what's possible in process development.

The event also featured two fantastic speakers:

  • Kavitha Ravindran from sAInaptic, who showcased how AI can support teachers in assessing free-text responses—moving beyond multiple choice.
  • Miika Ahdesmäki from Ryvu Therapeutics, who shared insights into using AI/ML to increase productivity and innovation in pharma R&D.

A huge thank-you to Grounded AI, Robert Bull, Rebecca Mister, Neil Bharadwa, Zach Vohra, Konrad Rzezniczak, and Nick Morley for organizing such an inspiring evening. Thanks also to RedTech Recruitment and Cambridge Fruit Company for sponsoring, and to Alex Rowthorn and Mark Rogers for the invitation to speak.

We're constantly energized by the momentum in the Cambridge AI ecosystem—and proud to be building ReactWise right in the heart of it.
